We arrived at Ozark Civic Center (Ozark, AL) on the Lord’s Day around 8:00 am Central time on a misty morning.
The auditorium stage was set up and and fairly easy load-in. No matter how you cut it, load-in and load out is heavy work. Then comes the challenge of making everything fit and look good in the new venue. Sound checks, lighting checks, band checks…on the list goes. God has granted us the cream of the crop in all areas of sound, lights, production, etc. They work together and make it happen no matter what challenges they face.
Got to say…KJ-52 is not only a great rap artist, he is doing a terrific job as the MC. Cool guy with a great heart. He has George Moss along doing the show with KJ. Good choice KJ.
Cliff Skinner (production manager) had a nasty lower back ache and we made him sit out or just direct staffers. He is a hard guy to tie down for a while. Pray for his speedy recovery.
Around 4pm Pastor Harry led a devotional about Hebrews 11 and focused on Abraham’s faith. We had great time of prayer together with band members and staff. We are all expecting
God to do great things on this tour.
“Worth Dying For” had a great worship set and it was beautiful to see kids, arm -in-arm, praising Jesus. A sea of hands raised to the Lord. Every band out did themselves tonight. There is such a great sense of unity in the Spirit and no competition. Pastor Harry shared the message and the altar call and encouraged people to change this area for Christ.
We are heading back to Nashville tonight. Everyone is looking forward to a couple of days off to be with family and get refreshed for the next leg of the Creation Festival: The Tour. Of course there will be some fine-tuning of some items and picking up some additional gear. Stay tuned to our blog…the next stop is Chicago on the 17th!
Did I mention that God is Awesome? Just in case…let me say it again, GOD IS AWESOME!
A friend invited me at the last minute to come watch the CreationFest Tour in Ozark, Alabama…..boy was I suprised! I wanted to say “Thumbs Up” to all of the bands, crew and promoters.
As a musician I was so impressed with the overall professionalism of the musicians, crew and promoters. I have never witnessed such a phenomenal entertainment event that not only reminded us of the importance of God & Jesus, but also that we cherish and love people all over the world. It also reminded me that we should not worship and get carried away with the material things in life such as worrying about getting a bigger house and other physical things.
This concert was a great reminder and was an incredible and emotional event. I know that the remainder of this tour will continue to send positive & inspirational messages to those who watch this very memorable music event. I am so glad that my friend called me up and invited me. I wish the remainder of this tour much success!!!!
Sincerely,
Marty Wrinn
Wow, what a night. You guys rock. I really want to thank you for coming to little ole Ozark and leading us in worship. A lot of these kids would never get to see such talent as we saw last night, much less be so close. I hope you will consider coming back next year. We had a awsome time in the Lord and were truly blessed by your worship. Thanks again, John W Robinson
this was the best creation festival ever & i loved the free ipod thing
I was totally blow away last night! The show was amazing. I am so glad the tour stoped in our litle town. Its about time we have good music in our area. I had been waiting for this show for over three months. Its a rareity you get the chance to see some of your favorite bands all together in your hometown for one night. I’m such a die hard pillar, tfk, and run kid run fan so my night was unforgetable. Thank you soooooo much!
The bands were rockin, I still cant hear, and I cant wait for next time!
oh come on… it wasn’t THAT bad of a back injury…
Amazing, that’s all I can say. I loved the music. Before I became a Christian I started hanging around what is now the youth group I am a part of and that is when I first heard of Christian music. My first Christian concert was Thousand Foot Krutch, Tobymac, and Barlow Girl. Since that concert I have given my life to Christ and I am hooked on true Christian music. It was because of Christian music I was reached and I have been given the opportunity to serve God. I have never heard music so good and so heartfelt and I have never gone to any type of concert that was as good as a Christian concert, especially this year’s concert. Thank you guys for performing and spreading God’s word through music. It is because of bands like you guys many people who would not have normally heard God’s word are reached. Please come back to Alabama!
Thanks for the hospitality, Nick. I had a great time and look forward to the next one!
If anyone is interested, here is a link to the many pictures I took at the show……

Me, my brother, and 3 cousins drove from Jacksonville, FL to come see this concert. We made a trip out of the deal made a video capturing all the excitement and activities over the weekend. We had the most emotional, spiritual, and physical connection with God that it was just unreal!!! We all cried, laughed, and rocked out all in one night!!! It will be an unforgettable experience for us and I cant wait for a tour like this to happen again…even if its not in Jacksonville…LOL!!! God Bless!!!
