Boy, it’s good to be on the road again after a couple days of rest and picking up a semi-truck to replace the two rented trucks. We left Nashville at 8pm the night before and arrived to load-in at 8am. The venue is a mega-church called Life Changers International in Hoffman Estates, IL (near Chicago). It was an exciting day but Roel Maldonado (lighting) accidentally got a nasty deep cut on his upper arm (by a razor blade!) and he had to get several stitches at the local emergency room. He seems to be doing fine but it was a little scary. Bob Lenz rejoined the tour today after his ministry trips to Canada. This was not one of our biggest nights but it did excel in other ways. The altar call was very strong and so were the sign-ups for Compassion. It’s great to hear how grateful people are for the tour. Keep praying – God is moving and touching lives!
I was at this concert! it was amazing and the greatest night of my life!!! i really enjoyed it and will be at the Bloomington concert on the 25th as well! kutless, TFK, and Capital Lights were the best! : )
this was, so far, the best concert I have ever been to. I gotta admit, I was a bit upset with the semi-small turnout, but I guess alot of people were too busy to come out. besides that lil minor part…
all of the bands were great, especially TFK, Pillar, & Kutless. all of them rocked, the stage set-ups were good, and I got a bloody lip from moshing during TFK’s performance (which made me miss about 4 songs from them but then I came back in time for the start of Pillar). plus, Jon Micah Sumrall of Kutless jumped into the crowd, basically two feet away from me, and was jumping and singing with us during “Shut Me Out”. they did a bunch of other insane stuff on stage too which was cool.
and with two of my friends getting a Kutless drumstick thrown at them, one of them getting a Fireflight guitar pick as well, and us getting autographs from the bands and talking to the guys from Kutless, overall it was the best night of my life.
thanks for the awesome concert – you guys pulled it off great. God bless & rock on.
